How we protect your data and project documentation

Personal data we process

Depending on how you use the website, we may process your name or company name, contact details, project location and approximate area, description and type of works, planned programme, indicative budget, financing and permit status, preferred delivery model, uploaded project documentation, bill-of-quantities data and necessary technical and security logs.

Why we process your data

We process data to respond to enquiries, review documentation and project readiness, determine the internal order of responses, prepare an indicative construction estimate or quotation, communicate with investors, protect the service from abuse and meet legal obligations. The legal basis depends on the purpose and may be pre-contractual steps, contract performance, legal obligation, legitimate interest or consent.

Preliminary readiness assessment

Answers provided in the short project check may be scored automatically so that Tecton Grupa can prioritise reviews and suggest a useful next step. This internal score is not a final decision on project acceptance, pricing, programme availability or entering into a contract; every serious enquiry can be reviewed by a responsible member of the team.

Tecton AI project adviser

When you use the AI adviser, message content is technically processed through the OpenAI API solely to generate a response from Tecton's approved public knowledge base. The conversation is kept in browser session storage while the active session continues; Tecton does not save the full transcript in its lead database or send message content to analytics.

The AI never submits a contact enquiry without your explicit confirmation. If you confirm submission, we store your contact details, structured project information and a short summary and main question needed by the Tecton team to respond. This information is not used for marketing without a separate legal basis or consent.

Project documentation

Projects and bills of quantities are stored privately and are not publicly accessible. Files must pass a security scan before AI processing. AI may extract project facts, items and quantities together with source references and confidence, but the result is neither an offer nor a final technical conclusion and is reviewed by the Tecton team before business use. Documents are not used for advertising.

Recipients and retention

Access is restricted to Tecton Grupa and providers required for hosting, private storage, security scanning and contracted AI processing. Projects and bills of quantities submitted through the estimate flow are normally marked for deletion after 60 days; attachments to a standard project enquiry after 180 days, unless longer retention is required for a contract, legal obligation or legal claims. Other data is retained only as long as needed for its stated purpose.

Marketing

Marketing communication is separate from project-estimate processing and is activated only with separate consent, which may be withdrawn at any time.

Your rights

Where applicable, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, restriction of processing or data portability, or object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency.
